While many Americans are familiar with playing pool, there are a growing number of players out there becoming more and more familiar with the game of snooker, which has been predominantly a European game. This means that in American pool halls there are more and more snooker tables showing up. Finding just the right snooker cue, is important, then.

A snooker cue is supposed to be about three feet long. The cues tend to weight somewhere between 425 to 500 grams. For a good idea of the size of the snooker cue that you should have, find one that comes to about fifteen centimeters below your shoulders. As with many things, however, the length and weight of the snooker cue that is right for you depends on what you feel comfortable with and that you can play with accurately.

Just like with pool cues, snooker cues tend to be made of two pieces that then screw together in the middle. However, unlike like with pool cues, you can find snooker cues that break down into three pieces. Supposedly the three piece cue makes for better handling with some additional weight on the end. Once again, this can depend on your preference when playing. The two piece snooker cue will not break down into two equal pieces, so keep that in mind as well.
